Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross River state, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will commission a 260-kilometre super highway in the state.
Muhammadu Buhari and Rotimi Amaechi visited Calabar, Cross River state, during the 2015 presidential campaign.
The governor was addressing to the newsmen on arrival from Abuja at the Margaret Ekpo International airport in Calabar the Cross River state, South-south Nigeria.
Ayade noted that the state is favored to have the number one Nigerian flag off such an essential project.
He also underlined on the value of the project to the Cross River state that the multi billion naira project would improve the economic status of the state and open up job possibilities for many citizens.
The governor further asked all residents of the state to give Buhari a warm welcome, come on October 20, Tuesday as he comes for the exercise.
The super highway is to serve as the evacuation route for the Bakassi Deep Seaport, a signature project of the governor Ayade-led government in the state.
There is excitement among the locals, particularly in the communities where the groundbreaking ceremony will be performed by leader of the nation.
President Buhari was scheduled to visit the state a month ago, but the Environmental Impact Assessment on the proposed road was yet to be carried out.
