
Nigerian-German musician and activist Adegoke Odukoya popularly referred to as Adé Bantu.
There were loads of intense performances from the likes of Yinka Davies, Adekunle Gold and Ghanaian hiplife star Gyedu-Blay Ambolley.

Below is a timeline of how events played out on the night:
19.45-20.36 – Adebantu is on stage and performs series of songs with a live band.
20.37-20.47 – Yinka Davies comes on and performance gets crowd livened once again.
20.41 – A male singer joins Davies on stage.
20.45 – A little boy comes on stage to dance along as Davies performs.
20.47 – Adebantu comes back on stage and talks a bit on the need to support local artistes. He introduces hiplife star Gyedu-Blay Ambolley
21.03 – Ambolley comes on stage.
21.19 – He starts a singing rehash of Fela’s Lady.
21.30 – Adebantu gets back on stage, performs a fast tempo song afrobeat song.

21.44 – Adekunle Gold gets on stage and is greeted by a cheering crowd. Exhilarating display.21.57 – Yinka Davies comes back on stage again.At this point Adebantu, the organizer, gets on stage again and explained that Burna Boy is delayed by a bit of traffic. The announcement comes helpful at the time seeing as the guests have had a feel of every artiste present on the night.Davies comes on stage with Ambolley and together they deliver a synchronized Afrobeat performance. Adebantu joined them at some point.Davies had a different outfit for this second performance.
22.00 – It is a full stage at this point with a host of performers all singing on stage and dancing.
22.11 – Adebantu begins a new solo performance.
22.14 – He begins singing another Fela hit as he eulogizes the late Afrobeats legend.
22.39 – The stage is locked in frenzied movements as there are several performers from the night all rendering throw back hits of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
22.40 – Burna Boy finally gets in. He introduced and welcomed on stage by Adebantu and the crowd goes berserk again. There are initial technical glitches as he begins his performance as the audience finds it hard to hear him even as he sings.Before long the sound issue is rectified and the performance continues leading into a night of true fun.
